Welcome to the Leonard Florence Center for Living

The First of Its Kind... The Future Is Now

Imagine a nursing home where residents live in houses that reflect their respective interests, values and needs. A place where elders can receive individualized skilled nursing care and support with daily activities, but without this assistance becoming the focus of their existence.

The Leonard Florence Center for Living brings that vision to life by becoming America’s first Green House® community to provide skilled nursing care in an urban setting.

Composed of ten homes, each containing ten private bedrooms and baths, the Leonard Florence Center for Living serves a total of 100 residents within a six-story condominium-style complex situated on the Dr. Miriam and Sheldon G. Adelson Campus on Admiral’s Hill in Chelsea, Massachusetts.

Our residents at Leonard Florence include the elderly, those requiring short-term rehabilitation as well as those living with disabling medical conditions such as ALS and multiple sclerosis.

With a dedicated staff, an innovative environment, and the latest technological advances in elder and specialized care, we at the Leonard Florence Center for Living stand to deliver on our ultimate mission: allowing residents to live life to the fullest.
